Apple Sued Over Privacy Concerns Regarding App Tracking

A Los Angeles county man has filed a lawsuit against Apple, along with several mobile app developers, for allowing apps that transmit private user information to ad networks without user consent.Bloomberg, for one, reported that the complaint, which was filed on Dec. 23 in a U.S. federal court in California, alleged that Cupertino’s iPhones and iPads are encoded with identifiers, specifically the Unique Device Identifier (UDID). The UDID then allows advertising networks to track what apps users are downloading, how frequently they download content and for how long, the report noted.

Download NoseDial iPhone App To Dial iPhone With Your Nose

Download NoseDial iPhone App To Dial iPhone With Your Nose

As the name suggests NoseDial for iPhone lets you dial your iPhone with your nose.Actually, this app is a visual dialer for your iPhone that lets you scroll through your contacts by tilting your phone and then call them by pecking at their picture with your nose. Obviously, still you need to be able to somehow tilt the phone with your hand or some other way to move through your contacts, but if your fingers are otherwise occupied with bags and/or inside your winter mittens, at least you can still make a phone call using just your nose.

New iPhone Camera App “Magic Shutter” Hits The App Store

New iPhone Camera App “Magic Shutter” Hits The App Store

New iPhone camera app has released naming as Magic Shutter. It mimics the effects of shooting at slow shutter speeds, and of using flash to freeze a subject. The app actually does use some programming magic to achieve its effects. For instance, if you choose the “flash” modes, you can choose front and rear curtain-sync effects. Front curtain sync takes a sharp image and then records subsequent frames in a kind of still video, allowing those frames to build into a blur. The original, sharp image is laid over the top. Rear-sync does the same, but snaps the sharp photo at the end, making the light streaks appear behind a moving car, say, and giving a more expected effect.
