Greenpeace recently lambasted Apple over using ‘dirty’ coal energy for most of the power that is used up by its facilities. Although Apple is already working on a solar energy farm as well as a cell energy farm, both of these combined would still account for only a part of Apple’s overall power usage. Now, the tech giant has revealed plans of constructing a data center that would be 100% green.

Nokia has, for long, enjoyed the position of being the world’s largest handset vendor, even when its influence has gradually eroded in the West. The rivalry between Samsung and Apple is getting worse. Earlier this week, Samsung hired some protesters who were gathered in front of an Apple store in Sydney and kept shouting “WAKE UP.” Protesters arrived in front of the Apple store in a bus branded ‘WAKE UP’. Blogger Nate “Blunty” Burr captured protesters chanting the ‘Wake Up’ slogan and showing the ‘WAKE UP’ placards outside the Apple store. Although the protesters didn’t answer why Apple fans need to wake up, it is believed to be part of the campaign Samsung started for the launch of Galaxy S3 in Australia.

Apple and Samsung have been locked in a bitter legal feud over the past few years. Each of them alleges the other side of infringing upon a number of patents. Now, Joy of Tech has done an illustration of the ongoing settlement talks between the two rivals.

A lot of us believe that Apple’s products are nearly, and mostly, flawless. Particularly if it is a MacBook Pro which is one of the priciest machines commonly used, it has to be flawless. That is precisely what Seattle Rex thought, though that turned out to be wrong. And Rex, naturally, was not happy.

Now, Brin has stated that his comments towards Facebook and Apple had rather been distorted by reporting.

Philippe Starck has recently caused a lot of buzz in the tech world with his rather misleading announcement that he was working on a ‘revolutionary’ Apple project. Apple was quick to respond and state that there was no such project under way. As was suspected, now it has been revealed that the actual project Starck was working on is Steve Jobs’ yacht.
