Apple has only recently started offering movies through iCloud. This means that you can re-download the movies you have purchased via iTunes, through your iCloud account. However, when Apple launched this feature, content from Universal Picture Studios and Twentieth Century Fox was absent, since the two had a prior agreement with HBO. But now HBO has agreed to let the two content producers the permission to offer movies via iCloud.

During the launching event of the new iPad, Apple was quick to claim that the A5X processor that is being tooled by its new tablet, is 4X faster than Nvidia’s Tegra 3. In fact, Apple didn’t stop at that and also claimed that the processor of iPad 2 was 2X faster than Tegra 3 chip. Naturally, the folks at Nvidia have now challenged Apple to reveal what benchmark tests it used to compare the graphics performance of the two chips.

Although months have passes since iPhone 4S was launched, hooking the world up to Siri, the hype still hasn’t died out. Users who don’t have iPhone 4S still want to lay their hands on Siri and up until now, there was no way to do so but through Apple’s servers, which essentially made it illegal. However, with i4Siri, you can use Siri without having to use Apple’s servers. It’s absolutely legal and the best part is that for now, it is free!

During the 90s, Apple was experimenting with a lot of gadgets and devices and while some of them made it to the market and then quickly faded to oblivion, some didn’t even make it to the market. One such rare gadget has surfaced on eBayy. It’s a prototype of a certain Apple WALT device that has been posted on eBay. Apparently, it was introduced back in 1993 and was meant to be a companion for the home phone.

iTether app has been pretty effective in letting iPhone users bypass the internal hotspot capability of the device. However, Apple pulled the app off as soon as it launched the iOS App Store. However, for iOS users, the good news is that it is back now, though not offered by Apple. It is being offered by independent developers who have released a HTML5-only solution to accomplish the same bypass.

The huge demand for Apple’s new iPad was pretty much expected and you shouldn’t be surprised if you have a hard time laying your hands on the said tablet. In fact, if you haven’t pre-ordered already, you are almost certain to have a tough time getting to it. Because as it turns out, the pre-orders for the launch day delivery, which is scheduled to be on March 16th, have already sold out at Apple’s US Online Store.

Before Apple could finally offer a comprehensive and workable model of cloud-based services in the form of iCloud, it has launched and tested a number of other ventures regarding online services. Some of them didn’t work well enough yet others did gain a decent following. One of them, iWork.com which allows online creation and sharing of documents, will be abandoned coming July now that iCloud is finally proving to be a true game-changer.

For long, Apple had only one official carrier for its flagship smartphone in China. Recently, Apple was able to finally break a deal with China Telecom and get it on board. Now, iPhone 4S has officially launched with China Telecom, the carrier booking 200,000 pre-orders for the smartphone ahead of the actual launch.

It seems as if Samsung has taken a liking to the free media ride it gets every time it gets to bash Apple products. Nonetheless, Samsung does cite some very valid points at times. Soon after the launch of the new iPad, Samsung has sent an email to media, ‘proving’ that Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet is much more creative than the new iPad.

This question has reared help infinite times since Apple’s launch event yesterday. Everyone has been asking about it and some speculated that maybe Apple folks forgot to mention what exactly is the new iPad called. iPhone Dev Team has released a tether jailbreak of iOS 5.1. But this tethered jailbreak is only for non-A5 devices. This means that the jailbreak won’t work for iPhone 4S or iPad 2. If you own iPad or an iPhone device earlier than iPhone 4S, you may want to try your hands at it. However, if you haven’t already moved to iOS 5.1, you must know that once you do, you may lose your jailbreak and then the best you can do is apply the tethered jailbreak which is detailed below.
Although Apple hasn’t specifically concentrated much on a mobile payment service or at least hasn’t expressed it’s intents to launch one of it’s own, it is nonetheless bagging all the relevant patents. According to reports, Apple has now secured a patent for ‘E-wallet’ from US Patent and Trademark office. The office has now published the patent after approval which has re-ignited the debate that Apple may actually launch a mobile payment service some time soon.

Apple is leading what Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook dubbed to be the ‘post-PC revolution.’ According to Cook, Apple’s smartphone devices and tablets and gaining traction at an amazing pace and they are squeezing the PCs to a tight corner, so much so that the sales of PCs have dramatically declined while those of iPad and iPhone devices have sky-rocketed.

Although the whole buzz about today’s Apple event primarily concerned iPad, Apple was able to surprise us yet again by taking the opportunity to unveil it’s all new Apple TV. This is great news for many but at the same time, a disappointment for those who have been expecting Apple to reveal an LCD display television.
