Apple will introduce the next iPhone October 4 in the auditorium of its Cupertino, California campus and Apple has held most of its major product launches in San Francisco. Apple still hasn’t confirmed a date for the event or that it will hold an event at all and iPhone 5 will mark the first major product launch for Apple under Chief Executive Tim Cook, who took over after Steve Jobs stepped down as CEO of the Mac and iPhone maker last month. Apple is expected to release iOS 5 on October 10th and the launch the new iPhone on October 14th…………….

MercuryNews reports that Apple has told Cupertino Mayor Gilbert Wong that plans are underway for a third corporate campus and it appears that the company has acknowledged that even that mammoth 13,000-employee complex probably won’t be sufficient and that it will likely begin planning on a third campus once Apple Campus 2 is up and running in 2015. Apple’s planning documents filed with the city show its new office is now expected to be busier than first thought and the 176-acre campus is set to house up to 13,000 employees or 1,000 more than Jobs first suggested when he publicly unveiled the plans in June……………..

Google says it has largest corporate EV charging network in the US with some 200 chargers currently in place, plus an extra 250 that are on the way and Google has purchased some extra Chevy Volts and Nissan Leafs, this Gfleet will eventually expand to include a total of 30 EVs, which explains the expansion of its ChargePoint Network. The company hopes this initiative will encourage more people to purchase EVs, and estimates that it’ll eventually save a total of 5,400 tonnes of CO2 per year and the equivalent to removing about 2,000 cars from the road…………
