Verizon Wireless, Sprint And AT&T Brings Motorola LAPDOCK 100

Lapdock 100 brings a Webtop IQ boost to Moto phones on Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T. The laptop features a 10.1-inch screen, keyboard with dedicated Android keys, touchpad, multi-tasking and tabbed web-browsing via WiFi or your phone’s data plan. You are allowed full Firefox browser, Adobe Flash, Quick Office, Google Docs and a PC-esque File Manager. Motorola LAPDOCK 100 also includes a PC-like File Manager, making it convenient and intuitive to view, copy, paste, move or delete files on your smartphone or its integrated SD card. Looking to stay ultra-portable, the peripheral weighs a hair over two pounds and touts five hours of battery life so a user never loses their freedom to be mobile. To have one, you have to wait until October 17 for AT&T, Verizon and Sprint customers will get a chance later this quarter but for now we do not have any pricing information. A Sprint spokesperson said that the newly announced iPhone 4S will be eligible for the carrier’s unlimited data plan and pricing will start at $69.99 for unlimited data and 450 talk minutes with the Simply Everything unlimited calling and data running you $99.99. Sprint will be the only US carrier offering an unlimited plan, after AT&T and Verizon dropped theirs, making the deal very tempting and Sprint will also offer the hotspot tethering service but it will have a 5GB cap on that. Sprint will also sell the iPhone 4 8GB and Sprint still doesn’t have the iPhone 4S listed on their site…………………

Microsoft announced that a slew of TV and entertainment content providers — including Bravo, Comcast, HBO GO, Verizon FiOS and Syfy will be rolling out entertainment services to the Xbox starting this holiday season in the more than 20 coutnries and they’ll be providing content through Xbox Live, the online entertainment service for Xbox 360. The providers are: BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5 and LOVEFiLM in the U.K.; Antena 3, RTVE and Telefonica in Spain; Televisa in Mexico; and Bravo, Comcast’s Xfinity On Demand service, Crackle, EPIX, Syfy, TMZ, The Today Show, UFC, Verizon FiOS and HBO GO in the United States, the new TV and video providers announced today join Xbox’s existing lineup of TV and video entertainment partners already on Xbox 360: AT&T, Netflix and Hulu+ in the U.S., TELUS in Canada, BSkyB in the U.K., Canal+ in France, Vodafone Portugal, VimpelCom in Russia and FOXTEL in Australia.This is exciting news because now your 360 is like a cable box as well, so if you already have service with one of the providers that is teaming up with them then you can enjoy tons of television right from your dashboard…………….

Verizon Sues Net Neutrality Rules Of FCC

Verizon Communications is taking another stab at overturning the Federal Communication Commission’s Net Neutrality rules and filed an appeal in the Court of Appeals for the D.C. circuit. The FCC’s net neutrality rules, approved by the commission in December, are illegal because they would modify Verizon’s existing spectrum licenses without the company’s approval and Verizon’s lawsuit attacks the FCC from a different perspective with the carrier wanting the rules invalidated. Verizon’s lawsuit was widely expected and Verizon tried in March to sue to block the FCC rules, but the same appeals court said it couldn’t because the agency hadn’t published the rules in the Federal Register…………………
