The DROID3 was launching on July 7 and just had it confirmed through our friends at Verizon. The device will be available via direct fill next Thursday followed by a mass store rollout on July 14 as a Big Red exclusive. Specs remain the same as what we brought you yesterday, with a 4-inch qHD display, dual-core 1GHz processor, five-row sliding keyboard, but no LTE data.

Apple support forums have been flooded with users complaining about iPad 2s that won’t connect to Verizon Wireless’s CDMA 3G network and pple has given all the stores a list of serial numbers to scan, if company told to set aside and ship back to Apple, these are only for Verizon iPads. The first store to give notice had over 100 units to be sent back and the issue seems to only affect Verizon iPad 2′s right now, a similar situation to earlier in the year when customers visited the Apple forums to complain of Verizon iPad 2′s they had ordered being stopped and sent back…………

The Verizon line up got a new addition late last week as a second LTE smartphone finally made its way on to the network, the Samsung Droid Charge and with steeper price tag of $299.99 compared to the $250 Thunderbolt, the Samsung Droid Charge will no doubt have to pack something extra if it hopes to steal some of that thunder away from the Thunderbolt. Specs wise both are quite similar, with the HTC Thunderbolt and Samsung Droid Charge packing similar sized 4.3-inch displays, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 1GHz single core processors and Android 2.2 Froyo and the differences here are subtle, with the Samsung Droid Charge going with Super AMOLED technology and a Hummingbird chipset, while the Thunderbolt sticks with TFT LCD and a Snapdragon chip……..
