Report Says Approximately 20% Of US Internet Users Can’t Stream HD Video

Internet access is a luxury for those Americans whose income is low and for which they can’t afford. But the irony is while U.S. President Barack Obama has pledged to put broadband in every home and the FCC has embarked on an ambitions project to bring high-speed Internet access to every corner of the United States. At that time we found that according to a report from video hosting and analytics startup wistia, nearly 20% of all Internet users in the U.S. are unable to watch HD video over their existing internet connections.

US Internet Users Viewed 36.9 Billion Online Videos In July: comScore

Market research firm comScore has published a report that shows the growing appetite for online videos among the U.S. internet users. The report shows that a total of 36.9 billion videos were viewed by U.S. internet users in July 2012 alone. Among these, video ads accounted for 9.6 billion, around 20.7 percent of total videos viewed online. The total unique visitors viewing videos online were counted to be 184 million, around 85.5 percent of the total U.S. internet users.
