The product pages for both the WiFi-only and 3G editions list a release date of December 31, projected for a holiday 2011 release. Sony PlayStation Vita handheld will miss Christmas in US and Europe and Sony has confirmed that the Vita won’t hit the American and European markets until early 2012. In the U.S., the Play Station Vita will have an initial price of $249 for a WiFi-only version and $299 for one that works over AT&T’s wireless network and in Japan, the Vita will sell for ¥24,980 for the Wi-Fi version and ¥29,980 for the 3G model. The new gaming system, which will be a follow-up to both the successful but aging PlayStation Portable (PSP) and the slow-selling PSP Go and the Vita will feature a 5-inch touch screen on the front of the unit and a touch pad on the back for controlling games using hand gestures…………..
