Google has announced a lot of interesting things like Nexus 7 Tablet, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, etc at today’s Google I/O. Here we have a quick article covering all those important news you need to know about Google I/O. Keep reading.


Here is the basic news from Google I/O

1. Nexus 7 Tablet:

Google Nexus 7

Runs on Android latest 4.1 Jelly Bean, costs only $199, powered by Tegra 3 quad-core chip. This 7″ device seems to a sure Kindle Fire killer. Its already available to buy from Google Play shop, and will starts shipping from mid-July.

2. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean:

There was been a lot of speculation before about Jelly Bean.. After all its been announce today. It implements new technology from Google’s Project Butter to enhance performance and visuals, along with a new search experience. And for all existing Android user, it is coming to the Galaxy Nexus, Xoom, Nexus S in mid-July, and an Android developer preview is available from today. Google also shown major improved in Android keyboard, Voice search called Google Now, touch gesture, Google Beam, notification center and many more.

3. Google Play Get Multimedia


Google surely targeting Amazon business field. They already claim they have the world vast eBook collection is Google Play books section, now they have added movies, TV Show and Magazine in Google Play. They have teamed up with big partners like Disney, Bravo, NBCUniversal and more. Now Google play will also pose a threat to even Apple iTunes Store.

4. Google’s Powerful stats

Google announced there is now 400 million Android activation, and its increasing in one million per day activation rate. They also have 600,000 games and applications available for Android devices. And those applications have been downloaded more then 20 billion times.

5. Google+, Google+ & Google+


Google is trying to push its social network Google+ as always. Now they have released a separate Google+ apps specially made for Android running tablet, and iPad version said to be coming soon. Google+ also updates for android. And bring new feature like Events for everyone. Where you could include, invite people for past and future events.

– 250M+ accounts have upgraded to or signed up for a Google+ account
– 150M+ accounts are active every month
– 50% of its users sign in every day
– On average, 12 minutes a day are spent in the Google+ stream

6. More Google Glass Live Demo

Google shows new demo of Google Glass, featured in a sky-diving, biking, building scaling spectacle. Interesting news is for US-based developers attending I/O, they’ll be able to order a preview device today for $1,500.
