Amazon Planning To Launch A Physical Retail Store

Amazon has been the king of online retailing for a long time. It is still hailed as the top online retailing store.  However, apparently, the online realm has it's limitation and is not sufficient for Amazon. And so, a source has revealed that Amazon is now gearing up to launch an actual, physical store. Most probably, it will be launched in Seattle and will be there before this year ends. Can this be a result of Apple's wild success on Apple Stores?

The sources reveal that Amazon is launching this store as a pilot store, so as to check the feasibility of market for Amazon products through real stores. In case this store is a successful, Amazon is considering launching a whole chain of retail stores, quite like  Walmart.

But there will be a vital different between Walmart and Amazon retail stores. Amazon intends to sell only high-end, high-profit-margin products through its stores. We are also told that these Amazon retail stores will have Kindle Fire and the related accessories of the tablet for sale. This, again, is quite the way Apple has ventured into real-world retailing.

Books will be also be available on these stores for purchase. Now, book have been the strong point of Amazon right from the start. All Amazon has to do is pull out some of the contents of it’s repository and put them up in the store. It’s as simple as that and yet, it can give Amazon a huge edge in retailing over other competitors.
