Google has maintained a blog for the last 5 years dedicated to its software for Apple’s systems. Google has been offering Mac OS X and iOS versions of Google Chrome, Google Earth and a bunch of other applications. But recently Google has announced that it’s shutting down the Official Google Mac blog. Google has noted maintained that support for Mac and iOS by it’s main products has gone mainstream and the the need to maintain a separate channel for Apple platform support has deemed unnecessary. Support for Mac and iOS would be maintained through individual Google product blogs from now on.
Google has announced the decision in a post on the Official Google Mac blog On 22 June. The blog post said that the company has decided to discontinue posting in the blog.
Google currently offers 19 different iOS apps and 8 iPad apps on the App Store for its various products. Google has requested people to visit individual product blogs for Mac and iOS support issues.
