Samsung and LG are embroiled in a bitter fight. Samsung is presently the leading vendor of OLED displays whereas LG doesn’t have a whole lot to boast on that front. Now, Samsung has accused that LG executives have been involved in leaking the technology from Samsung. This corporate espionage, it claims, is related to Samsung’s OLED display technology.

The statement from Samsung regarding this whole issue was exceptionally direct and bitter. It said, “Executives of LG Display, which lacks OLED technology and related human resources, took the lead in this criminal act in order to overcome their shortcomings as quickly as possible.”

It further claims that with this current leak by LG, Samsung may run the risk of losing trillions of won. However, LG flatly refused all these allegations and sounded positively offended over the entire episode. The official statement from LG read, “LG Display’s products boast excellent technology and even received a presidential award with the OLED panel for 55-inch screens. We do not need Samsung’s technology which works under a totally different display system.”

LG further denied any involvement whatsoever in the whole leak and promised that it will be suing Samsung for making the accusations. It is hard to discern, at this point, that which of the two companies is stating the truth. But the fact is that Samsung indeed is far superior than LG when it comes to OLED displays.
