Japan Decides To Launch World’s First 4K TV Broadcast In July 2014

Although 4K technology based TVs are out in the market, we haven’t seen any country adopting 4K TV broadcast yet. Lately Japan has decided to take that initiative and is planning to launch the world’s first 4K TV broadcast in July 2014.


4K Technology Based TV

4K technology based TVs have nearly four times the resolution of a standard 1080p HDTV. In fact, the technology is called “4K” because it has approximately 4,000 pixels on the horizontal edge. Now-a-days, people all over the world, especially the Japanese, prefer to buy the 4K technology based TVs. Japan understood long ago that this 4K technology based TVs will affect people a lot. So the country had planned to launch the 4K TV broadcast in 2016. But as the demand for the Ultra High Definition (UHD) TV sets in Japan are going up rapidly, the country has decided to re-schedule the launching plan.

Now, Japan will start the world’s first 4K TV broadcast in July 2014. It is expected the 4K TV broadcast will revive Japan’s flagging domestic electronics appliance industry.
