Online Shoppers Are More Satisfied With Amazon Than Apple

Apple has been the tech giant leading the way in a lot of ways, from profits to quality of its products to business growth. However, once in a while, there are those rare things in which another company is able to beat Apple to grab the top spot. For instance, Amazon was now able to score higher than Apple when it comes to online shopper satisfaction.

Apple is really good on its online sales front but at the end of the day, online sales are not Apple’s forte. Apple’s forte is excellent products. Amazon, on the other hand, has been in the retailer business for long and in many ways, pioneered to make online retailing a popular concept. This is precisely why the retailer giant knows how to leave its online shoppers satisfied.

This has now been revealed through the Spring e-Retail Satisfaction Index of Foresee. In a report that contains the results, it states, ‘After grabbing the top spot from Netflix last year, Amazon (89) remains the leader of the pack, improving three points from 2011’s score of 86. Apple was another big mover, increasing to 85 with a five-point improvement. RueLaLa’s satisfaction also increased by five points, to 75. Foot Locker (79) and J.Crew (78) both saw an increase of four points, and 10 retailers besides Amazon also improved by three points.’

However, though Amazon has been able to grab the top spot, Apple still made the greatest improvement. It was able to score five points gain over the course of one year. And at this rate, Apple may be able to jump to the top spot soon.
