This should really get the ball rolling as more software firms will be lining up to roll out their own Apple TV apps or even adapt the existing ones to suit the bigger screen. The best part might be that they need not worry about Apple’s approval one bit. This will be purely between the developer and the consumer.
Designed by a tiny software firm called nitoTV, a small and simple weather app has managed to work on Apple TV. What this will do is propel many more to work in the same direction. Now with PwnageTool 4.1 also at our disposal for jailbreak, it seems only a matter of time before apple TV apps from independent sources rush in.
