The next generation Olympus Micro Four Thirds Camera is probably due in a short while now. And to keep our imagination from not going back to sleep, a new leaked photo has been spotted around the Internet, this week. The OM-D camera is supposed to be Olympus’ first digital shooter, but the image is very mysterious and you can only see part of the camera, therefore many details are still to be unveiled.
All in all, we still know that the OM-D is expected to sport magnesium, weather-sealed body of 373 grams. Other specs that will surely entice users hoping to buy it are the 16-megapixel sensor optimized for High Dynamic Range, FAST AF, 3D tracking and a five-axis image stabilizer inside the body. There’s also the ISO option of 200 up to 25,600. More than that, with the camera you get a built-in a digital viewfinder with 1.44 million dots resolution and a 3-inch 610,000 pixel OLED preview screen.
The camera will probably go public at the Olympus event in February. The company already posted a coming soon teaser on its website. Nothing is confirmed yet, but the price tag has been rumored to be around $1,100, so start saving.
