[Tutorial] How To Improve Samsung Galaxy S III Camera With Camera HX Mod

When I have started recording videos with my Samsung Galaxy SIII I noticed right away that the quality of the videos was good but not enough. So I started play with the built-in Ice Cream Sandwich Camera app options to improve the video quality but I still was not satisfied. However I found an excellent option called HX-Camera mod for Samsung Galaxy SIII. This is an application developed by hyperX for ROOT users that allows you to increase the video recording specification of 19 Megabits per second to 24 Mbps and even an impressive 30Mbps fine to superfine mode.

This improvement works when the device is recording in HD at 1080p and even if the quality is 720p. Moreover HX-Camera mod lets you use the camera when the battery is below 15%, which is not possible in built in Samsung Galaxy S 3 camera app. It also lets you take a picture with the volume up/down controls. Continue following steps below in order to find out how to install it on your rooted Samsung Galaxy SIII.

Step 1: The first thing you have to do is get root access on your Samsung Galaxy S3.

Step 2: Then you must install ClockworkMod.

Step 3: Next download the Camera HX Mod application from here.

Step 4: Upload the file to your Samsung Galaxy SIII and unpack it inside the root of Samsung Galaxy S3 SD memory.

Step 5: Launch Samsung Galaxy S3 Recovery Mode.

Step 5: Now you must select Install zip from sdcard -> choose zip from sdcard external -> and select the file Camera_HX-MOD_1.52_CWM.zip. Then select Go Back and Rebot System Now.

Step 6: You are done now and you should have improved camera on your Samsung Galaxy S3.

I believe this is for international models and seriously messes up North American s3’s. Might be worth mentioning that don’t ya think?
