DoubleDutch Introduces Price Alongside Microsoft’s Yammer

DoubleDutch has been doing really good apparently, given the fact that it was able to raise a solid$2 million during its Series A funding. It seems that the company now has plans of expanding the realm of its influence. It has now introduced a new app called Pride, which is about workgroup collaboration.

Interestingly, this rather humble mobile startup has to meet up to the challenges that are now being posed from none other than the tech giant, Microsoft. As it to pit itself right against DoubeDutch, it has now been reported that Microsoft is trying to get its hands on another startup called ‘Yammer’ which would be a direct competitor to DoubleDutch.

The founder and CEO of DoubleDutch, Lawrence Coburn, seems rather happy with the launch of the app. According to him, the time of the launch of Pride is ‘kind of unbelievable, actually.’

He then goes on to say, “It really is a ‘what are you working on?’ app with a couple of big differences from Yammer.” Naturally, DoubleDutch is trying to focus on the chief differences it’s Pride app has with Yammer so as to pitch those difference as the decisive point for the users.

In his opinion, Pride is not a mobile-first solution, rather its a mobile-only solution for teams to collaborate. Also, the main difference between Pride and Yammer, Coburn says, is that Pride is build around the concept of structured data. Structured data essentially means that whatever feed is put in from different teams in Pride so that they can collaborate, this feed is organized and is shelved in its respective position.

Pride already has offered some very promising prospects. Coburn says that while testing its beta, the companies using the beta realized that their internal email usage dropped up to 34%. DoubleDutch intends to offer Pride for free to small enterprise teams. So if you are one and wish to lay your hands on an excellent collaboration app, head here.
