Build A Recyclable ‘Mini House’ In 48 Hours! [Photo Gallery]

It takes at least a month to build the world’s thinnest house (47-inch wide). But, if you still think, a month is a long time to build a house, then it’s possible to build a gorgeous recyclable mini house in less short time than one month. Yeap! It’s true. You can build a recyclable “Mini House” in 48 hours. See the details and photo gallery with 18 stunning photos.

MiniHouse

Mini House is created by Swedish architect and designer Jonas Wagell. His name was published in the British design magazine Wallpaper as one of the “world’s 50 hottest young architects” in 2008. However, Mini House is not constructed like traditional large timber houses. Rather, the house is manufactured with simple materials. But, the quality of the simple materials are very high. Have a look.

It is very easy to build the house. Mini House is a modern and functional prefabricated module house on 15 sqm suited. The house has a 15 sqm terrace with a pergola too. A sturdy construction of this Mini House is created by pre-fabricating walls and bitumen roof in modules. Walls have trim-less windows. Mini house also comes with a compact kitchen and bath module, a heater kit with chimney, a storage module and a solar power kit to provide electricity. Floors are made of hardwood. To build the house, the necessary materials are delivered in flat-pack. Just chose the site (where you want to build the house) and build it.

This is a perfect house for living both in summer and winter season. The Mini House concept has won “Innovation Award 2008” by Swedish Chamber of Commerce for the UK. The concept has also won “100% Futures Competition” at 100% Design London in 2008. To know a bit more, head over to Mini House.
