Vizio Unveils New PC Lineup With TouchScreens And Quad-Core Chips

Vizio hasn’t exaclty been a hit in the PC arena. The company made its entry into the market last year and although it boasted some excellent models, most of its PCs ran into trivial, yet critical, issues such as poor trackpads, battery life etc. Now, the company has unveiled its new lineup of PCs for the year 2013.

On the first glance, the new lineup of PCs that Vizio is hoping to get to the shelves by mid-February is quite impressive. The 2012 models that Vizio provided became known for sporting excellent displays, even if there were other contentions about them.

Vizio has taken its strengths from the last year’s models and mixed up some new ones. The new models that the company will show off at CES 2013 come packed with 1080p screens, a clean copy of Windows as well as touchscreens. They laptops are light and thin and the company provides you with the option of choosing between Intel and AMD.

The overall design of the models is more or less the same as last year. The performance has been boasted by the inclusion of quad-core chips. The 14 and 15-inch Thin + Light Touch models are available with a Core i7 chip or the A10 chip from AMD. The 24-inch All-in-One Touch also comes with the option of either an Intel or AMD chip whereas the 27-inch model is Intel-only.

Nearly all new models, save one, boast 1080p displays and from the company’s pricing policy last year, we can surmise that the new models will still be quite affordable compared to those offered by other companies. However, for now, hard pricing numbers are not available.
