9.7-inch Kindle DX Is Back In Amazon

9.7-inch large screen equipped Kindle DX features new graphite enclosure, high contrast electronic ink display with 50% better contrast for clearest text and sharpest images. Online retailer giant Amazon started selling Kindle DX in 2010 and discontinued selling in October 2012. But now, Amazon has brought its 9.7-inch Kindle DX back again!

Kindle DX

Kindle DX has a larger screen than the standard Kindle. It supports simple PDF files. The graphite Kindle DX display uses E Ink Pearl technology with better contrast for clear text and sharp images. Amazon hoped that the Kindle DX’s larger 9.7″ screen would work as an adequate replacement for paper textbooks. So the company started marketing the device as as a more suitable for displaying and as an adequate replacement for newspaper and textbook content. But the Kindle DX went unavailable in October 2012 and later it wasn’t brought back until now.

Lately, Amazon has confirmed that it has brought back the 9.7-inch Kindle DX. Amazon said, “Kindle DX is again available on Amazon.com. Our website lists the most up to date availability for all products. We’re excited to offer customers this option.”

And more importantly, Amazon is selling the device for $299, the same price as it used to sell before.
