Asus PQ321 31.5-Inch 4K Monitor Up For Pre-Order At $3,500

Asus introduced its 31.5-inch 4K monitor a month ago, numbered PQ321. The 4K monitor is now up for pre-order at AmazonNewegg and TigerDirect. This true 4K UHD monitor provides stunning visuals with an ultra-high definition 3840 x 2160 pixels, which equals four Full HD displays combined.

The Asus PQ321 supports 10-bit RGB for vibrant accurate image color, and delivers a 800:1 contrast ratio. Its Horizontal and vertical viewing angle is 176 degrees, so you can see a clear picture from almost any angle. With over 8 million pixels, experience larger screen real estate and another level of clarity in your movies, videos, and games you have to see to believe. It features multiple connectivity options, like dual HDMI and DisplayPort, and also includes dual integrated 2W speakers, 3.5mm audio jack too. The thinnest 4K monitor measure only 35mm at its thickest point, showcasing a modern design fit anywhere on your desk.

The Asus PQ321 4K Monitor is available for pre-order at Amazon, Newegg and TigerDirect with an introductory price of $3,499.99. The price is about $300 less than what was announced a month ago, but still very expensive.

    Who is going to buy a little 32″ display for $3500…

    Doubt it will sell enough to recover the tooling cost. Seems manufacturers are getting really desperate in a market where everybody already has a display that’s perfectly good enough, and the 3D thing never really cought on.

    With business forever being “growth oriented” in our capitalist setup of guaranteed eventual fail, as growth cannot continue forever on a finite planet, they think the way out of the dead-end street is cranking up resolution…

    A fine idea, but I think they’d have to do it at maybe 30-50% price increase, rather than a 1000% price increase…
