Street View is a feature available in Google Maps, Google Earth and Google Maps for mobile that allows users to explore the world through 360-degree street-level imagery. Google has been taking photos of the region for its mapping service since November 2012 by executing its Street View cars worldwide. But lately, a Google Street View car has made an accident in the city of Bogor, Indonesia.
The Indonesian man was driving a Subaru hatchback with a pivoting camera strapped to the roof, and was collecting video data for the internet giant when he crashed into a public minivan. When the minivan driver along with the owner of the minivan came out and started shouting on him, the driver became “panic” and tried to flee in fear of paying a high amount for the repair of that minivan. But neither the minivan driver nor the owner let the Google Street View car driver go off just like this. They started chasing him for around two miles and at then, the Google Street View car driver hit another public minivan and later a truck that was parked.
The man behind the wheel has not yet been publically named by police, and it is unclear what, if any, charges the driver will face. But it’s been confirmed no one has been seriously injured during this accidents.
