Phantom 2 Vision: A New Personal Drone With Amazing Features

As drones are getting huge popularity to people, many new companies are tending to make drones. On the other side, the companies that already have been making drones are now trying to make new and creative drones. However, DJIone of the oldest drone making companies as well as a global leader in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) has now made a new drone called Phantom 2 Vision that offers a complete, integrated aerial photography tool and comes with an easy-to-use quadrotor with a camera strapped to its belly.

Phantom 2 Vision weighs 1000g and measures 29 cm x 29 cm x 18 cm. It comes with a microSD card, 14-megapixel camera that can capture video at at 1080/p30 or 1080/60i and a Wi-Fi link that allows the user both to control the camera and to see what the drone is seeing. Users can move all images and videos that Phantom 2 Vision to the mobile device wirelessly.

Phantom 2 Vision controller can tilt the drone at 60 degree angle via touchscreen controls on the DJI app interface. The quadrotor itself has a listed top speed of 15 meters per second, compared with 10 meters per second for the first-gen Phantom.

This drone uses GPS to maintain flight stability. There is a “Find my Phantom” function that shows you the location of your UAS on the map in case you somehow ditch into the tall grass. Phantom 2 Vision requires about an hour for fully charging a drained battery. On a full charger, Phantom 2 Vision can hover up to 25 minutes. Here’s a video of Phantom 2 Vision.
