[Video] Car Crashed While The Driver Was Texting, Police Camera Captures The Scene

Talking over phone or texting somebody while driving are one of the reasons for accidents. Although it’s been warned many times not to use the phone while driving, but most of the drivers don’t obey this and they are still found using (talking or texting) while behind the wheels. However, lately police camera captured a scene of a car crash and it was found that the accident occurred because the driver was busy in texting.

Using cellphone while driving is ruled as illegal in more or less all parts of the world. The chief reason is that it makes the driver distracted and can cause an accident. We’ve seen researchers making app to prevent users from texting while driving. In fact, a study has found that even voice apps don’t make texting while driving any safer.

Interestingly, once a study revealed that busy with cellphone while driving doesn’t lead to car crash, but recently, a police camera captured a car crash in Florida and the driver admitted that the accident happened as he was busy in texting while driving and was not looking at the roadway. Here’s the video where you will see the car swerve across lanes, and then eventually flip.

The incident happened on Saturday, January 4 at 1:12 a.m. Police mentioned that Michael Woody (driver of the crashed car) was driving a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am and he came out of the safely by crawling.
