California-based company Vizio is best known in the tech world for its remarkable televisions. But the company entered the PC market last year with its 24″ and 27″ “All-in-One” units. After the release of Windows 8 OS, Vizio is ready with its first Windows 8 tablet. The good news is the company has just announced that it is going to release its first AMD-powered Windows 8 tablet with Full HD screen.
Vizio’s first Windows 8 tablet weighs 1.66 pound and its thickness is 0.4-inch. The upcoming Windows 8 Tablet features a dual-core 1-GHz AMD Z60 processor with Radeon HD graphics, 11.6-inch HD display (1,920x,1080 pixels), 64GB flash storage, 2GB RAM, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, stereo speakers, dual-band Wi-Fi, micro-HDMI port, and a micro-USB port. The tablet will run Windows 8 Pro; that means users will be able to run older Windows applications, rather than just new Windows 8 apps.
But the sad news is Vizio hasn’t announced the pricing and availability date of the tablet.
