GE Sets A New Ambitious Goal- Build The World’s Largest Wind Turbine
France might take the first place in generating energy by installing the world’s largest wind turbine.

Technology is bringing the big things into small ones. Now a days, while most of the wind turbines are getting bigger, scientists at Poland-based company Omni3D, have made AirEnergy3D, a new 3D printed wind turbine that can fold into your backpack and charge your laptop.
Wind turbine makes some kind of obnoxious noise. But lately, Rotterdam-based tech firm The Archimedes has officially introduced a wind turbine called Liam F1 Urban Wind Turbine which makes very little noise. Most importantly, the turbine is said to be considerably more efficient than most other conventional turbines.
The wind turbines we see around us are permanently built into the ground. But the Portable Power Center (PPC) by Uprise Energy is trying to develop an adaptable and portable Wind Turbine along with power solution that can fold itself and fit inside a standard shipping container and be pulled by truck.
Imagine, you’re traveling through the desert. You have drank the last drop of water from your water bottle but you are still thirsty. But you can’t find any water source around. How would you feel then? Helpless, may be! No matter what you feel like, finding fresh water in the desert is hard. Keeping that in mind, a French-based technology company is working in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi) to test a wind turbine which can produce drinking water from dry desert air. Though this is not a new concept but this concept is surely different from others and amazing.

We have seen many high-tech wind turbines earlier that are considered as one of the main sources of sustainable energy. It’s sad but true that, the rotation of the blades of wind turbines often kill birds. Added to that, the noise and vibration of the wind turbines cause headaches, nausea and insomnia among people living nearby; even scramble radio and TV signals. But, this things may end with a revolutionary design from a Tunisian company, Saphon Energy. Saphon has come up with a non-rotational blade free wind power generation system, called The Saphonian.
Typically, logistics industry relies on dismantling huge objects into smaller parts and then transporting them anywhere. But what about a 300-foot long turbine blade that can’t be trimmed down to size? The image below show how crazy it is to transport such a thing.
