Audi Preparing For A4 Plug-In Hybrid Car In 2014

Now Audi also become a member for hybrid technology, and they do not wasting time playing catch-up. The automaker is rumored to be producing a plug-in hybrid Audi A4 for the 2014 model year. How it will be if you are going to office during rush hour, and then realize that your vehicle’s all out of power! At least with a hybrid, it can still get you to the office on time, and delivers the best of both worlds between electric and gas vehicles.

An article from Autobild.de, we found Audi plans to produce a bigger, yet lighter, A4 in 2014 with a rear-axle electric motor. The plug-in hybrid will have an electric range of 30 to 60 km (19 to 37 miles) before it switches to the gasoline engine. Can you remember the 2011 Audi A4 model, when the plug-in hybrid arrives, the same 211-hp engine and achieves 22 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway using a CVT transmission.
