Casio’s new Exilim EX-FH100 features some groundbreaking features that will allow you to capture images and videos in ways that other digicams cannot. The FH100 features a 10-Megapixel back illuminated CMOS imaging sensor, 10x wide optical zoom lens, dedicated video record button,  720p HD movies, video frame rates of up to 1000fps, image capture of up to 40fps for 40 images at 9-megapixels, RAW capture and Sensor-Shift image stabilization, which just covers some of the major features. There are also a slew of Best Shot modes, including several that were specifically designed for high speed shooting.

Pros:
1.Superb battery life.
2.Sharp, well-exposed images.
3.RAW shooting mode.
4.High-speed shooting mode for stills and video.

Cons:
1.Takes time when saving RAW and high-speed shots.
2.Laggy autofocus.
3.Noisy lens motors.
4.Limited f-stop options in aperture priority.

Bottom Line:
Casio’s first high-speed pocket megazoom has superb battery life and image quality, but its noisy zooming and laggy autofocus are drawbacks.

Featuring 720p HD movie capture and frame rates ranging from 30fps to 1000fps, this is by far one of the most versatile Hybrid cameras that you are going to find on the market. Although the high-speed frame rates are not an option when shooting in HD, they are a fantastic tool for slowing down fast-moving objects. 1000fps can be very useful for capturing extremely fast moving objects or even for analysis of movement such as a golf swing. With a little creativity, these smaller resolution videos can even be worked into a High Definition movie.

Uses a back-illuminated CMOS sensor for improved low light capability. High speed continuous shooting and movie modes. Stereo microphone.
