Apple has declared that Mac OS X 10.8 (code name Mountain Lion) will be available from tomorrow at Mac App Store. It will cost $19.99 as declared before. If you have bought a Mac recently, don’t worry, because the company has already mentioned all Mac sold after June 11 will get Mountain Lion free.. Check your Mac whether it is eligible or not for the upgrade.
Apple has unveiled the OS’s availability date during its Q3 earnings call. Mountain Lion is the company’s ninth release in the OS X family. It was first shown off in February by developers, then they unveiled number of new features such as Reminders, Notes and even the Notification Center for Mac OS. The Mountain Lion has a new security feature called Gatekeeper that will protect your Mac from malware and uncertified apps. Apple has claimed that Mountain Lion has 200 new features.
