Coolpad Quattro 4G Smartphone With VIA CDMA Chipset

Yulong Telecommunications has released a 4G smartphone named Coolpad Quattro 4G. It is now available at MetroPCS for $99. The company has used its CDMA 3G EV-DO Rev A baseband chip from VIA Telecom, the telecom division of VIA Technologies, in the device.

The Coolpad Quattro 4G is specially designed for MetroPCS 4G network. When the 4G network of MetroPCS is unavailable then the device gets connected to existing 3G network through VIA Telecom’s baseband chip.

The Coolpad Quattro 4G is equipped with 1 GHz processor, 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, 133 MB of internal memory, 3.2MP camera with flash, 4GL TE connectivity, stereo Bluetooth and 1600 mAh battery. This phone runs on Android 2.3.
