Microsoft Launches WP8 App, Allows Syncing Between Windows 8 PC And WP8 Smartphone

After the launch of Windows 8, Microsoft has launched Windows Phone 8 on Monday Morning. And just before the event, the company has launched a Windows Phone 8 app that lets you neatly sync your Windows 8 PC with your Windows Phone 8 smartphone.

Windows Phone app

The app is a real beauty in that it allows sharing all kinds of data between a WP8 smartphone and a Windows 8 device. You need to have Windows 8 or Windows RT on your computer to start using the app with your smartphone.

Once you have the app on your PC, you can share photos, videos, music and more from your smartphone to the PC and vice versa. If you don’t wish to undergo the hassle of sending files over to your PC every time you save them on your smartphone, you can enable automatic sync settings. That way, you can automatically save videos and photos to your computer.

Another notable feature of the app is that it allows you to keep track of your smartphone which is rather neat. With this feature, you can easily track down your mobile in case it goes missing. The feature is quite similar to the tracking feature Apple provides in iPhone.

Moreover, you can also check the current state of your computer’s storage space right from your smartphone. This ensures that if you wish to save some of your smartphone data to your computer, you have ample space to do so. The app is already available in Windows Store and you can grab it from Windows Store.
