[Rumor] Windows 8.1 Update 1 May Release On March 11

Since the release of Windows 8.1 that comes with new features and improved interface, people have been eagerly waiting for the update. Now a rumor is swirling around that the very first update of Windows 8.1 may release on March 11.

Earlier Windows leaker WZor indicated that Windows 8.1 update 1 will be released to manufacturing in March, but didn’t provide any specific date. But now, it’s been reported that the Windows 8.1 update 1 will be released date on March 11. It is being said that Windows update 1 may feature some of the work that Microsoft has been doing behind the scenes to reduce further the memory and disk space requirements for Windows. This would allow Windows 8.1 update 1 to run on cheaper small tablets.

According to the earlier image leakage of Windows 8.1, it is expected that the update will allow users to pin Metro-style/Windows Store apps to their desktop task bars. Thumbnail previews of these Metro-style apps will be available from the Desktop task bar. It is also expected that Windows 8.1 update 1 will include close boxes for Metro-style apps.

Latest images leakage hint that the Windows 8.1 update will have features including separate, dedicated power and search buttons on the home screen, plus right-click context menus for mouse users. No doubt, Windows 8.1 update 1 will be focused primarily on making Windows 8.1 more useful to business users.
