Windows Blue To Rip The Benefit Of Intel’s Haswell Chip

According to sources, Intel’s Haswell chip (Intel’s upcoming latest generation chip) and Windows Blue (an upcoming upgrade of Windows 8 operating system) are tied together. The duo will work together to deliver high performance with huge battery life improvements.

Windows Blue will have improved “standby” technology that can keep your machine connected to e-mail, social-networking sites, and others during the sleep mode. And when you open the lid of your laptop, you’ll find your e-mail’s already being synced.

On the other hand, Intel Haswell chip will be “the single largest generation-to-generation battery life improvement in Intel history”. Intel is trying to put all those new technology that will deliver better power efficiency on the long-lasting Haswell chip-based ultrabooks running on Windows Blue. It expected that in the second quarter of this year Haswell chip powered ultrabooks, tablets and laptops will be available in market.

The tie of Windows and Haswell will deliver higher battery performance. If you are thinking that “Windows Blue is designed for only Haswell chip-based devices” only, then you’re wrong. Both Windows Blue and Haswell are expected to be available in a variety of devices separately. But Windows Blue would rip most of the benefit.
