Newcastle based boutique Hotel Indigo has taken a decision that they will replace the printed versions of Holy Bible with Kindle. Guests coming in his/her room with a Kindle with a per-loaded Bible. The guests will also have an opportunity to download other religious e-books from Amazon. The hotel authority will pay for a book until it crosses the £5 limit.
The guests can also download other, non-religious e-books from Amazon. In this case, the cost will be simply added to guest’s bill at the end of the stay. Though this process is going under a trial, after 16 July the hotel authority will decide whether this program will be extended to other locations or not. The source did not mention whether there have been any contract signed or not between Amazon and Hotel Indigo.
