Sony To Sell PS4 In China

Last month, Microsoft announced that it’d bring Xbox One in China. Following Microsoft, lately Sony has announced that it’ll sell PlayStation 4 (PS4) in China too.

PlayStation 4

Sony’s PS4 had grabbed huge traction of people for which the company received huge pre-orders for PS4. The PS4s were available for pre-order at Amazon for $399. Although, Sony started selling PS4 in the UK for £349, the company sold PS4 for $1853 in Brazil – four times the price in US. However, there’s no doubt that Sony is now trying to spread its PS4 all over the world, slowly, but steadily.

Documents filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange show that Sony has set up a pair of joint ventures with Shanghai companies for the production and sale of PlayStation hardware and software. According to Sony, China is “a promising market.” So Sony has promised to “introduce quality, healthy games that are suitable to China’s national conditions and the preferences of domestic players, as according to the relevant government policies.”

Sony’s PS4 has been outselling the Xbox One in the US, and is currently available in more countries than the Microsoft console. So, Sony hopes that it’ll be able to do a great business in China. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on when the PS4 will go on sale in China.
