Acer Revamps Aspire S3 Ultrabook With Intel Haswell Chip

When Acer unveiled Aspire S3 in 2011, it created a huge buzz among people. Having seen this, later Acer unveiled new Aspire S3 Ultrabook at different times with the latest processor. Lately at Computex, Acer has announced Aspire S3 Ultrabook along with Intel Haswell Chip, improved battery life, and WiDi.

Aspire S3 Ultrabook

The new Aspire S3 Ultrabook weighs 1.65 kg and comes with a 0.7-inches (17.8 mm) thickness. It packs Haswell CPUs, which offer up to 15% better performance and up to 2x faster 3D graphics processing speed, with lower power consumption, 1080p IPS touchscreen, new NVIDIA GeForce GT 735M graphics chipset and a 1TB hard drive. With the new NVIDIA GeForce GT 735M graphics, users will be able to play videos/movies, edit photos and play games faster than ever before. Most importantly, Acer Aspire S3 Ultrabook will have Acer’s patented dual-torque hinge design at the outside of the device, enabling users to easily open the lid up to 180°. That’s not all. There will be TwinAir cooling technology in the device that would cool the device always without having to sacrifice performance.

Unfortunately, the Aspire S3 Ultrabook with Intel Haswell Chip has no Gorilla Glass on the lid like the earlier ones.

In Europe, the price of Aspire S3 will start from €999 and in US, its pricing will start at $1,400 and go up to $1,700, depending on the configuration. The Aspire S3 will arrive in the market next month.
