Best Buy Offers Nexus 5 On Sprint For $449 On Replacement

The latest Google’s and LG’s smartphone lineup has been officially announced this past week. Online retailer Best-Buy has already offered Google’s new flagship phone on and off-contract. But now it seems that buying a Nexus 5 without a contract from Best Buy is going to be very expensive.

The Nexus 5 features 2.3Ghz quad-core Snapdragon 800 and 2GB of RAM, pushing pixels to a glorious 5-inch 1080p display. It also comes with micro-USB port for charging the 2,300 mAh battery, you can use it to power a TV over Slimport instead. There is also LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, dual-band 802.11ac WiFi and NFC on board — basically if there is a method of connecting to another device.

Google is selling the 16GB Nexus 5 model for $349 at Google Play. On the other side, Sprint is charging $449.99 for the device. But the interesting thing is Best-Buy has priced off-contract purchases of that device at an eye-popping $799.99. Best-Buy is charging $449.99 for the device replacement, which is $100 more than Google’s offer. Due to this extra $350, many customers will not be able to buy that device.
