Samsung hasn’t divulged any details about Galaxy S5 officially but news and leaks about the handset have been surfacing for some time now. For instance, it was previously rumored that the new handset will pack a 16-megapixel rear camera as well as 3GB of RAM and a 4,000 mAh battery.

There is no way to verify how much of this is true. Reports also suggest that the smartphone will feature a 5-inch OLED display. While there has been mention of a plastic body, many hope that Samsung will finally ship out a smartphone with a premium, metal feel when launching Galaxy S5. It remains to seen what turns out to be true.

Another rumored feature in the future handset is the ability to make multi-party video calls in which users are able to access both the front and rear cameras during the calls. The rumored feature has attracted the attention of many and if indeed it ships as part of the new handset, Samsung will be able to win more than a few hears.

The Galaxy S5 smartphone will run the latest flavor of Android, namely Android 4.4 KitKat and will go into mass production by January next year. If Samsung keeps up with this schedule, we can be certain of a February or March launch date.
