Google Blames LG For Limited Nexus 4 Supplies In UK

Users in UK and Ireland have been fairly irked by the lack of adequate availability of Nexus 4 handsets. It has been quite a while since this Google-branded LG-manufactured device was launched. Google’s UK chief has now pinned the blame on LG for the scarce supplies of the device.

Evidently, in a bit to pacify the angry consumers, Google’s chief for UK and Ireland has now taken to Google+ to dish out an apology as well as a subtle shift of blame away from Google. The post by Dan Cobley has apparently been prompted by the fact that angry Nexus 4 customers recently took to the Google 2012 Zeitgeist page and registered their protests over the delays in Nexus 4 shipments.

In response Cobley wrote, “I know that what you are going through is unacceptable and we are all working through the nights and weekends to resolve this issue. Supplies from the manufacturer are scarce, and our communication has been flawed. I can offer an unreserved apology for our service and communication failures in this process.”

Cobley then goes on to reassure the customers that those who were expecting a shipment within 3 to 5 days have their orders being processed right now. As for those who were given a pre-Christmas shipping estimate, they will be getting their Nexus 4 handsets no later than the next week.

The entire supply constraint debacle couldn’t have been timed worse. With the eve is just around the corner and Nexus 4 been released just now, Google and LG will incur a lot of resentment from the customers over this.
