OEM Partner Previewed Intel-Powered Windows 8 Tablet

Intel and its OEM partners has revealed new tablets and convertible tablet designs on September 27 in San Francisco. All OEM companies has used Intel Core® vPro™, Intel® Core™ and Intel® Atom™ processors, including the new Atom processor Z2760 (formerly codenamed “Clover Trail”) and Windows 8 OS in the devices. OEM partners of Intel has not declared the launch date of the tablets yet. It seems that the tablets will not be sold before Windows 8 official release.

The new Intel Atom processor-based devices are able to deliver high performance with long battery life. Users, specially business users will understand the basic deference between Intel’s earlier version processors and the new processors. They can get full experience of Windows 8 while they run all favorite and necessary programs.

Erik Reid, general manager, Application Processor Platforms for Intel’s Mobile and Communications Group said, “This is just the beginning of Intel’s effort in the tablet market, and our goal is to deliver products that fit the spectrum of evolving needs of both consumers and business users without compromising on compatibility, experience or battery life.” He also added, “When people or corporations buy a device with Intel Inside, they’re getting the best of Windows 8 features with a computing experience that just works.”

When Intel’s this core processor-based tablets will run on Windows 8 then it will deliver the intelligent performance and responsive power. Intel has used its vPro technology in the Core-based processors. For that reason, this processors provide remote system access and management, regardless of power or OS state. Most important thing is that Intel has used its developed security technologies in the processor such as Intel Anti-Theft Technology, Intel Secure Key, Intel OS Guard, Enhanced Intel Identity Protection Technology and Intel Trusted Execution Technology.
