Samsung Got A Bigger Tablet Boost This Christmas Than Others

It’s natural that during holidays, electronics devices such as tabletssmartphonesgadgets etc are sold a bit high compared to other normal days. Christmas holidays assist companies to sell as much electronics products as possible. A new data says that South Korean electronics giant Samsung got a bigger tablet boost this Christmas than others.

The tablet market is very lucrative and very competitive. There are many tablets like Apple‘s iPad, Android tablets, which are ruling now significant market share. However, during this Christmas, all the tablet manufacturers tried their best to sell as much tablets as possible than last year. So during this Christmas, which company saw a bigger tablet boost? According to Onswipe data, Samsung got a bigger tablet boost this Christmas.

Onswipe reached over 31 million unique mobile users and it looked at optimized sites during Dec 26 to Dec 29, comparing it with figures from Dec 19 to Dec 22. The company found that Samsung Galaxy tablets saw a 50.4 percent growth and were trailed in second place by Nexus 7 tablets with 33.8 percent growth. On the other side, Apple’s iPads saw 20.4 percent whereas Kindle Fires were down in fourth place with 19.5 percent. Note that, Onswipe has focused on percentage growth, which doesn’t necessarily mean that a particular tablet sold much better than others during this period.

Jason Baptiste, chief marketing officer of Onswipe, said, “Samsung clearly won Christmas when it comes to tablets.” He also revealed that the averages session times from Samsung tablet users stood at 3 minutes and 9 seconds after December 25 as opposed to 3 minutes and 32 seconds for the previous period. On the other hand, iPads saw average session time drop to 4 minutes and 3 seconds as opposed to 4 minutes and 12 seconds.
