Skylink Xpad Android Tablet

World’s first GLONASS-enabled tablet unveiled in Russia, plays nice with GPS and this 7-inch Froyo-powered panel runs on a 800MHz processor, and sports 512MB of RAM, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and support for both GPS and GLONASS navigation. Russian provider Skylink hopes this new Android tablet called the Xpad  will set a trend for future navigation devices.Future navigation devices can utilizing data from both satellite positioning systems for increased accuracy in urban environments………..

 

A large group of people has learned to recognize letters in a GPS travel companion sometimes become irreplaceable which is integrated into your smartphone or in a classical satellite navigation system and the Russians now have yet another reason to rejoice as Sky Link’s latest gadget with the GLONASS navigation system goes official, which is the world’s first GLONASS tablet – meaning it incorporates support for both GPS and GLONASS satellite navigation and positioning system with increased accuracy.The tablet, officially known as XPad,  is a 7-inch stunner running Android Froyo OS and bearing a 3.2 megapixel camera on the rear-panel. No word on the screen resolution with us but expect it to sport a 1200×600 pixel display or something close.The most interesting feature of the GLONASS Android tablet is the support for integrated GPS and GLONASS navigation system that will make best use of the GLONASS satellites of navigation satellites in the orbit  to provide you accurate and precise navigation support.The Sky Link tablet PC works on Android 2.2 operating system has a 7-inch display, an 800-MHz processor, a 512-MB RAM, and a 3,2MP camera and also the MDM6600 chipset from Qualcomm provides GLONASS support in the system.
