A New Japanese Machine That Turns Wastepaper Into Toilet Paper Roll

Another story on green technology. It’s machine. A huge & expensive machine that will turn your wastepaper into your everyday needed toilet paper roll. There is an eco factor & that is to save paper which are made from trees.

It’s a good idea. The machine will be helpful in our everyday life for everyone. It will save paper and recycle it to prevent more trees from being chopped down.

Machine to turn wastepaper into toilet paper.

Several manufacturers are coming up with new ways to reuse our waste, from biofuel made from bananas to purses made from candy wrappers. And now we can add one more common waste product to the list: office paper.

A Japanese company called Oriental has come up with a machine dubbed the White Goat, which converts normal wastepaper into rolls of toilet paper. Processing 40 sheets of paper for half an hour, the machine gives a nice toilet roll, which the company claims costs about a dime. The processing includes shredding the paper, dissolving it in water, thinning it out, and drying and winding it into toilet rolls. Normal use of this machine will help save up to 60 cedar trees annually. However, the catch here is that the machine itself costs a whopping $100,000.

Last year, Tokyo-based Nakabayashi offered everything from bookbinding services, child car seats and office products, Weighing more than 1,300 pounds, the machine is able to produce two rolls per house from approximately 1,800 sheets of paper, right in the office.

The toilet paper machine is able to produce two rolls per hour from around 1,800 sheets (or 7.2kg) of used A4-sized paper, which would have usually been just thrown away. At 600kg, it seems to be a dangerously massive piece of hardware.

While the cost of the machine may be out of your business’ range, there other ways to reduce your office waste. Only print hard copies of documents when needed, and save the rest of your files on your computer.

Please, always encourage your co-workers to recycle their excess waste.
