[Infographic] The Evolution of Windows Users Over The Decades

The emergence of Windows dates back in 1981, though it wasn’t introduced to the public until 1985. From the Windows 1.0 to the latest Windows 8, the operating system has gone under massive changes. The Windows user base has also evolved over this period. An infographic aims to capture how the Windows user experience evolved over time side by side with the evolution in technology space.

The inforgraphic, created by Freemake, doesn’t delve deep into the technological and feature set evolution of Windows 8. Rather, it tries to recall the hardware design, user interface, most trending technology or service of that time and the “emotions they provoked.” People will not find a lot of emphasized figures in this inforgraphic. But if they can forgive the minimalist approach, then it could be worthwhile to take a look.
