Finally Apple’s CEO Tim Cook Joined Twitter, Tweeted First Time

You will find Apple‘s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue and its Senior Vice President Worldwide Marketing Phil Schiller, who have joined the social network Twitter long ago, but it was Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, who had abstained himself from joining Twitter for a long time.. But now, Tim Cook has finally joined Twitter using an account with the name of @Tim_Cook and he has tweeted for the first time about his visit to the Apple retail stores.

Tim Cook Tweeting In Twitter

Tim Cook joined Twitter in July of this year, but his account was not verified by Twitter then. But now as Twitter has confirmed his account, so Cook has become able to use his Twitter account. However, yesterday at 3:02 p.m. ET, using the account name @tim_cook, Cook tweeted for the first time mentioning that he visited retail stores in Palo Alto for the retail launch of the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C.

Tom Cook tweeted, “Visited Retail Stores in Palo Alto today. Seeing so many happy customers reminds us of why we do what we do.”

Apple has confirmed that this is in fact Cook’s official Twitter account and not one of the many fake accounts, like @TimCookAppleCEO or @TimCookParody. On the other hand, Apple’s marketing chief Philip Schiller retweeted Cook’s tweet, proving that the account is indeed run by the Apple CEO. However, till now (as of writing), that tweet has been retweeted 5,847 times and Cook himself has gained over 129,682 followers.

Now it remains to be seen how Cook intends to reach out and interact with customers through this channel.
