Samsung Electronics’ ChatON Messaging Service Reaches 100 Million Users

Samsung Electronics launched its ChatON Messaging Service two years ago in 2011. Lately, the company proudly announces that its  ChatON now has a global subscriber base of over 100 million users.

Samsung has mentioned that, till May of this year since launch ChatON Messaging Service garnered over 50 million users, but in the next 4 months, its users went double from 50 million. The service provides a huge chatting experience where users can also access ChatON using their PCs, Samsung features equipped phones, and all the other major smartphone platform like: Android, iOS, Blackberry and Windows Phone. ChatON’s multi-screen support also allows users to sign-in on up to five different devices using one Samsung account ID.

However, Samsung claims key factor in ChatON’s success is that it comes preloaded on most major GALAXY devices. Starting with the GALAXY S III subsequent devices launched include the GALAXY Note II, GALAXY S 4, GALAXY Note 3, GALAXY Gear, and GALAXY Camera.

According to Samsung, the company has “steady growth” in US, China and India and the United States, while it is growing in Europe and the Middle East too where it currently supports 10 regional dialects. ChatON is now available in 237 different countries and in 63 languages. By comparison, another popular Messaging Service WhatsApp counts 300 million subscribers who use the service monthly.
