Apple Posts Message Remembering Steve Jobs

Apple has just posted a message and video to its website referring to the death of Steve Jobs. As we know, the late co-founder passed away on October 5th, 2011 over unknown reasons. Jobs was diagnosed with a form of Pancreas cancer during 2003, so that may have played an involvement in the death. But the important part about today is to remember the good moments in his life, not how he had died.

The remembering of Steve Jobs is very important to the world of technology. Jobs was able to create what no-other could in the 1970s, a computer. He is credited for forming Apple; without him we lack the iPhone, iPod, and iPad. Some even consider that Apple changed the appearance of electronics, for example, the iPhone had influenced the design of many Samsung smartphones.

Here is the letter Tim Cook personally wrote in-regards to the death of Steve Jobs:

“Steve’s passing one year ago today was a sad and difficult time for all of us. I hope that today everyone will reflect on his extraordinary life and the many ways he made the world a better place. As you and I know firsthand, one of the greatest gifts Steve gave to the world is Apple. No company has ever inspired such creativity or set such high standards for itself. Our values originated from Steve and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple. We share the great privilege and responsibility of carrying his legacy into the future. I’m incredibly proud of the work we are doing, delivering products that our customers love and dreaming up new ones that will delight them down the road. Thank you for dedicating your talents and so much of your lives to Apple. It’s a wonderful tribute to Steve’s memory and everything he stood for.”

Remembering back to last year, the iPhone 4S was announced one day prior to his death. Jobs had the chance to at least hear the news of the successful keynote ran by Tim Cook. It was an unveiling that was packed, with only one seat left open, that was for Steve Jobs.

As the years pass, this date will allows be one technology-geeks remember. Apple has even cleared out their whole homepage and replaced it with a tribute video of Jobs out of pure respect.
