The official Google Play Twitter account has just verified that Verizon customers will soon be able to pay for applications, music, and more on their monthly phone bill. All other U.S. carriers — including AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and others have offered this service for quite a while.

Google Play’s official statement mentioned the ability would be rolled out over the “coming weeks” and will allow payment of “Google Play apps, music, and more on your phone bill.” A Verizon representative said that each Verizon phone number will be capped at a $25 Google Play bill each month. Earlier this week rumors swirled that Verizon would soon enable the lacked-feature.

One major positive to carrier billing is the ability to make purchases without a credit card. Whether you’re making an in-app or Google Play purchase, it will be added straight to the current month’s Verizon bill.

With the addition of Verizon Wireless — 19 wireless operators around the world now support carrier billing.
