Buffalo introducing new USB 3.0  the MiniStation Extreme 2.5″ portable external hard drive and the DriveStation Axis Velocity 3.5″ external hard drives. This Drives USB 3.0 works with nearly any PC or Mac and provides interface speeds up to five gigabits per second. Simply plug it into any available USB port on your PC or Mac computer and instantly add capacity or store files to take on the road.

The  MiniStation Extreme and the DriveStation Axis Velocity compact design occupies minimal space and its USB powered so there are no additional cables to manage and no need for a separate power source. Included with the Buffalo’s multi-purpose Buffalo Tools utility suite designed to enhance Windows PC performance and user experience. It’s rubberized base and shock protection elements that meet the military’s standards for shock protection.

The DriveStation Axis Velocity is your typical external hard drive and will feature a 7,200 RPM hard drive in it for faster data access. The DriveStation Axis Velocity is available in 1TB, 2TB and 3TB and will be priced at $95, $135 and $180 respectively. The MiniStation Extreme comes in two sizes  500GB and 1TB and priced at $95 and $130 respectively. The both devices come with a two-year warranty and will be available in October 2011.
